Feeding San Diego is a non-profit organization on a mission to end hunger through food rescue. Established in 2007, Feeding San Diego is the leading hunger-relief and food rescue organization in San Diego County and the only Feeding America affiliate in the region. Each year, the organization provides more than 35 million meals to families, seniors, college students, military families, and veterans in partnership with a network of 370 local charities, faith-based organizations, food pantries, and more. Nearly 70 percent of the food provided to the community is rescued from local and national food donors. By diverting nearly 28 million pounds of high-quality food from the landfill each year, Feeding San Diego protects people and the planet.

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has been fighting hunger in Los Angeles County since 1973 and has distributed the equivalent of more than 1.83 billion meals across our community. With the help of 15,000 volunteers annually and an agency network of more than 600 partner agencies, we serve more than 800,000 people on a monthly basis. The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank’s mission is to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin, where even before the pandemic, one in five neighbors was at risk of hunger. We envision a community where everyone has access to nutritious food of their choosing and is uplifted by a network of support. Together with community partners, we work to address hunger head-on through neighborhood food pantries, CalFresh enrollment, home-delivered groceries, and policy and advocacy efforts. We work with our community to create lasting solutions to address both the hunger we see today and the root causes that perpetuate food insecurity in our society. Founded in 1970 as the Community Resources Council, Placer Food Bank (PFB) has grown from a small grassroots agency to the leading advocate and food distributor for hunger-relief in El Dorado, Nevada and Placer counties, operating a 30,000+ square foot food distribution center in Roseville. Food Lifeline provides nutritious food to hundreds of thousands of people facing hunger every year by partnering with a variety of food industry donors. Volunteers inspect and repack this food and Food Lifeline distributes it through their own direct-service programs and in partnership with over 350 community-based organizations, meal programs, and shelters throughout western Washington. This effective system allows Food Lifeline to distribute the equivalent of hundreds of thousands of meals every day to people in western Washington who don’t always have enough to eat. The Greater Cleveland Food Bank works to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. The Food Bank supplies a majority of the food used in local hot meal sites, shelters, and food pantries. The Athens County Food Pantry was first conceived in early 1980 with the Athens County Ministerial Association. Shortly thereafter, in July of 1980, the food pantry opened and began serving the Athens County Community with direct food assistance for families in need. We’ve inhabited many locations throughout the county, had many committed volunteers, and faced many challenges but throughout, our one goal has remained the same: to serve our neighbors with food and support.
