Feeding San Diego is a non-profit organization on a mission to end hunger through food rescue. Established in 2007, Feeding San Diego is the leading hunger-relief and food rescue organization in San Diego County and the only Feeding America affiliate in the region. Each year, the organization provides more than 35 million meals to families, seniors, college students, military families, and veterans in partnership with a network of 370 local charities, faith-based organizations, food pantries, and more. The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank’s mission is to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin, where even before the pandemic, one in five neighbors was at risk of hunger. Founded in 1970 as the Community Resources Council, Placer Food Bank (PFB) has grown from a small grassroots agency to the leading advocate and food distributor for hunger-relief in El Dorado, Nevada and Placer counties, operating a 30,000+ square foot food distribution center in Roseville. Second Harvest of the Big Bend is on a mission to feed the hungry in the Big Bend through its network of partner agencies, and to educate and engage the community in the fight against hunger. The Athens County Food Pantry was first conceived in early 1980 with the Athens County Ministerial Association. Shortly thereafter, in July of 1980, the food pantry opened and began serving the Athens County Community with direct food assistance for families in need.
